We are a United Methodist congregation with a unique history in Columbus, Georgia. We share an exciting ministry to our community and we have an active membership that takes seriously its call to make disciples of all nations. St. Peter is a unique because we were birthed out of a merger between St. Andrew and St. John United Methodist Churches in 2004. After much prayer and discernment in early 2004, the two churches voted to approve the merger in June of that year. On August 22, 2004, we gathered to worship and celebrate the new congregation, St. Peter United Methodist Church. We are excited about the future of our congregation as we embark on our new future. We were two churches that have become one and we seek to glorify Christ in our union. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a family, and just like a family we support and encourage each other. We stay involved in each others lives and desire the best for each of our members. We believe Christ has a purpose for each of us and we are striving to fulfill that calling through our church. The best way to measure our congregation is to visit with us.
